The Office of Academic Programming and Scheduling provide the following services
A.SCHEDULING SERVICES:
Plan classroom requirements, based on enrolment data and available resources (sections, time, room,and instructors), for course offerings and scheduling every semester.
Check and verify the curriculum of each program and offer courses accordingly to students to register every semester.
Arrange semester course offerings for existing programs, and send to academic departments to assign instructors for the courses and follow-up their responses.
Provide comparative data to departments that help them to compare the most optimum and cost effective distribution of instructors’ course loads.
Prepare Class Schedule based on the available resources (sections, time, room, and instructors) and communicate the schedules to users.
Check time block availability and violation to avoid conflict/clashes (course, time, and room) for instructors as well as students.

Enforce policies stipulated in the Ministry of Education and University’s regulations on instructors’ course assignments and weekly loads.
Maintain the track-records of course offerings, instructor assignments and loads.
Provide schedule and course/class assignment related services to students, instructors, and others.

B.EXAMINATION SERVICES:
Plan exam requirements, based on enrolment data and available resources (time, room, and invigilators), for scheduling of final examination every semester.
Prepare exam schedules every semester in three phases:
1)Tentative Examination,
2)Make-up Examination
3)Make-up Examination.
Send reminder to instructors to prepare the examinations ahead of time.
Determine if room inventory matches exam requirements to ensure coverage, and assign a maximum of 25 students per exam room.
Assign exam Invigilator, Coordinator and Standby to each room.
Check time block availability and violation to avoid conflict/clashes (exam, time, and room) for instructors as well as students.
Send the exam schedules and number of exams per student/room to Production Unit for exam papers duplications.
Ensure the proper implementation of the exam and invigilation & coordination tasks.
Provide exam related services to students, instructors, and others.
C.OTHER SERVICES:
Prepare the Academic Calendar of the University and submit to the Senate for approval, and follow-up its implementation.
Participate in the process of admission and induction of students, workshops and seminars relevant to curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, and attend committee meetings.
Assess the accreditation of programs and curriculums periodically.
Enforce policies stipulated in the Ministry of Education, University’s Legislation and Directives on academic matters.
Maintain the track-records of course offerings, instructor assignments and loads.
Send instructors’ weekly course Load and extra hour payments to the Human Resource Services.
Follow-up section records (to split or merge sections) to optimally utilize resources.
Provide schedule and exam-time related information/letters to students (whenever requested).
Introduce automated systems or software for academic programming and scheduling to bring efficiency of course offerings, scheduling, and instructor assignments.
Produce regular and outcome focused reports to the Vice-President and others (upon request).
